Participating Grades: 3RD, 4TH, & 5TH

Participating in the Student Council is VOLUNTARY. Not a requirement.

Eligibility for student participation:
-
Each scholar who would like to “run” for StuCo will complete an essay and/or a presentation and share with the class: focused on “what qualities I have for participating in StuCo” and/or “why me for Stuco?”
-
Be peer nominated, and recommended from the classroom teacher based on behavior, grades, attendance, and leadership skills.

For FALL StuCo, this will need to be completed on DUE DATE = Monday September 9th,Please let Julie Heatwole know who are your classroom StuCo reps by the end of 9/9/2024. Thx!

5th Grade = 2 council members per class

4th Grade = 2 council members per class

3rd Grade – 2 council members per class

Each semester will be new student council members Fall Council & Spring Council
-
Council members responsibilities:
-
Complete 4 hours of community service per semester of service
-
Maintain grades, attendance, and behavior
-
Attend student council meetings (attendance will be noted)
-
Meeting times will be: Wednesdays @ 9:00-9:40 in the Cafeteria (on days we do not have assemblies or nest groups)

Develop and implement student council goals/events
-
Promote school participation through classroom presentations
-
Create Media (i.e. create and decorate posters &/or banners)

Community Drives/Fundraising for Community Agencies!!

Promotion of PTO community outreach events
